I’ve been writing for business for over 25 years. Whether it’s reviewing someone’s term paper, writing (or re-writing) a resume, revising reports or composing business correspondence, I always strive to make the message clear, precise and understandable for the intended audience.
Reading and writing are two of my favorite things to do. Over the years, I’ve written numerous letters to the editor that have been published in Martha Stewart Living, Prevention Magazine, and The Times-Picayune, as well as newsletter articles for a number of different organizations. My writing skills also improved while studying at Tulane University, graduating with a 3.033 GPA.
I’ve worked for a several corporate entities (including some Fortune 500 companies), and spent 8 years in a corporate IT environment. I worked with software engineers, web designers, database administrators and engineers, gaining a wider perspective into technology. I understand cloud computing and big data as well as other enterprise-specific topics. I enjoyed working not only with IT people but the new things they create.
Since then, I’ve trained as a copywriter with American Writers & Artists, Inc., with an emphasis in B2B content (including sales letters, white papers, case studies, and articles.) So now, I can write for your business as well.
I’m also a prize-winning writer: I was honored to win one of five $1K spec awards at AWAI’s 2011 annual Copywriting Bootcamp. My spec was one of five top submissions for a specific category.
I am a member of the Professional Writer’s Alliance and a graduate of AWAI’s 2-year master’s-level Circle of Success program. Both emphasize continuous learning and practice.
My Samples page will show you some of what I’ve done up until now. From “back in the day” articles to more recent spec assignments and essays, my writing style is intended to explain and make a point, or points, as needed.
